FROM
AIRPORT TO BAMBOO BEACH
 This
is the quickest and most convenient way to reach us, it is
tailored to suit your required travel times and can be scheduled
any time day or night.
It
is a 2 - 3 hour air condition car/van ride from Manila to one of
the piers in Batangas followed by a one hour boat ride directly
to Bamboo
Beach.
Total journey time usually around 3 hours.
Please
read through the following directions carefully - you may want
to print them out.
We
need your flight number
and arrival time to book this as well as the
number of people in the group.
If
you are arriving on any Philippine Airlines flight you will
arrive at the new terminal.
All other flights arrive at the original Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminal. The service person will be waiting to welcome you at the exit of the arrival hall with your name written on a signboard.
The
air-conditioned car/van will take you directly to Mainaga Pier
or Lea Beach (ask the driver if you wish to stop for food,
drinks or toilet. There
are plenty of McDonalds, 'Starbucks' and 'Service Stations' on
the way down). Tip
the driver as you see fit, otherwise do not give him any money.
All our cars carry cellular phones.
At
the pier or beach the car/van will stop very close to your
waiting boat. There
may be porters waiting - these people earn their living by
carrying the bags from the cars to the boat. If
you make use of the service wait until they have put your bags
on the boat and then pay them.
You can pay what ever you like [P50 [about US$1] a bag is
usual] - if you do not wish to use them just say so.
The
boat crew work for us and will take you directly to Bamboo
Beach
where there will be someone from the resort to meet you
(again, they work directly for us, your bags will be safely
looked after, tip them as you see fit).
All the boats have marine radios and/or cell phones. You transfer will be charged to your account at Bamboo
Beach.
